The external panel should be consisted of outstanding experts who are well acquainted with areas of the program. The role of the panel members is to perform an independent and objective assessment during the review, based on their own expertise and experience of teaching, research and external engagement activities. They are expected to provide useful ideas and suggestion for the program.
Before the Review
lMake a decision on whether or not to participate in the review and identify area(s) and faculty members they wild like to assess.
During the Review
lRead the files produced by the program, assess the field(s) and faculty members dedicatedly and thoroughly, send the feedback of off-site review to IEU before the deadline as required which consists of general review, scoring review, comments and recommendations. (off-site panel members)
lAttend sessions, debrief with research teams, meet with faculty members and students, visit laboratories, compose formal review report (if it could not be completed at the on-site review period, the panel could submit within 30 days after the on-site review) and deliver oral statement to the university leadership. (on-site panel members)
After the Review
lSubmit the final review report to IEU and the program.
lRead annual reports of the assessed program and provide feedback for further improvements.
